Life can feel different than the way it does today.

Therapy can help you break the hold stress has on you- physically and mentally.

You have a job that many other people do not understand or may not give respect for. You see the worst of society and yet you push up against home life stressors (ex: relationship, money issues) endure critical events at work, and administration (reprimands, shift work bids, denial of promotion). You might be retired and having trouble coping with the uncertainty. You carry around this stress every day and bubbles up when you don't want it to. When you get home you just want to “check out” which causes issues not only for your happiness but the loved ones around you. What if I told you that can change quickly?

What life can look like from therapy

  • Not react to hyperactivity during duty.

  • Think and be present rather than having tunnel vision. You can not have a trauma reaction in the job getting in the way and learn to be present and use your knowledge effectively.

  • Control over rage

  • Separate yourself from uniform and have meaningful connections and passions outside of the job.

  • Control over addictions that were in place to cope whether that substance use, shopping addiction, gambling, etc.

  • Feel better in your body physically and improve your self-esteem

  • Be more connected to your loved ones

While the thought of doing “Trauma Work” can be scary and intimidating, most people don’t realize the way their lives are being affected by what they have experienced. When something happens that jolts our body, we have an emotional reaction and a physical reaction. Nine times out of 10 we stuff emotional reactions into a dark place inside and work through the problem. Trauma work is about identifying the hidden reactions that have never been expressed. I have a method of doing this that allows the person to not have to talk about what they have been through and to work at a rapid pace to see rapid results.

How It Works

  • No Fluff, we start therapy on day 1 doing an intake and processing.

  • Go through a intake process to measure the effect of issues and come up with goals.

  • The client often wears headphones playing “bilateral” music/nature sounds that help with the reprocessing mentioned above.

  • I help you find a spot in your field of vision (brainspot) that helps you access where the trauma/stuck energy is lodged in the brain.

  • Together, we decide the “target” of the BSP. Then the clearing processing begins.

  • Learn to regulate your nervous system on your own.

FAQS

What others have wondered about brainspotting

  • Everyone is different. Some people feel the difference in 1 session and for others, it may take longer. Usually, a client comes out of a session with some new insight.

  • Brianspotting was discovered 15 years ago by an EMDR Therapist David Grand. He had found EMDR to be very restrictive and found Brainspotting more effective. EMDR and Brainspotting both treat trauma.
